sheer nonsense

what kind of screwed up network can't handle information requests from blogger and flickr and god knows what else. stupid piece of shit. it is absurd that in order to load a page i have to type the address, wait for it to have a 'cannot display webpage error' then refresh the page in order for it to load successfully. utterly unacceptable.

~update~ blogger is intermittent but imageshack and flickr still getting timed out. grr.

outing with army mates

had dinner at crystal jade kitchen in taka. proceeded to cuppage for a bit of pool. then ended up in a circle of indecisiveness.

in the end most of them went home, hence i didn't bother to focus on them. hur. in the end it was me, alvin and our special friend again. the one in brown. we ended up at clarke quay for mojitos at kandi bar, which is supposed a good silent killer for bluffing freshmen xiao mei mei's. apparently kandi's mojitos suck.

we then proceeded to cafe iguana for magaritas, was my virgin visit.

we shared an ultimate margarita but didn't finish it coz it didn't taste too good.

free chips and salsa dip with the first serving! slurp! and the chips were warm!

next up was a macho mango margarita which tasted pretty harmless and rather palatable. 10 minutes later, warmth was setting in. another drink to bluff xiao mei mei.

that ended the night pretty much. up next, the window of a money changer in liang court, next to the atms.

went out for a breather

feeling much better after lots of rest. made some plans to go out even though i still have phlegm of three different shades of green. each time i cough up something i play guess the colour in my head.

met alvin for lunch at ikea, he's redoing his room at home, i just miss the meatballs. he injured his hand out of the pool, during water polo. yes, out of the pool, specifically while trying to get out hurhur. so his right hand is now bandaged kickboxer style but he refused to a menacing on guard pose for me. so anyways, lunch in ikea, talk alot of nonsense blahblah, had a few laughs and fooled around. took some pictures.

look! our mini model of the esplanade using two baskets with durian like exteriors which are totally useless when it comes to stacking but perfect for acting like an uber viking. those points are sharp. trust me, i tried.

later on i met baby for dinner at vivocity. apparently there was some high class premiere of one last dance. red carpets were rolled out and we saw a few celebs like upcoming jade seah, chen hanwei and the hongkong main cast i think. didn't take pictures of them though.

security had a hard time preventing us normal people from using the escalators. there was this damn ji xiao caucasian family, or rather a caucasian family with a ji xiao dad. he went down and start waving to everyone literally like a celeb, was quite hilarious.

i end this post with regret of not taking a shot of that dude and not taking a shot of alvin and his riot shield.

dragged my sick carcass back to hall for a round of fastest fingers first. strange though, as i got out of the taxi and walked back to my room. as usual, wasn't smooth sailing. resorted to the assistance form. if everything goes well, i might be taking 32 AUs.

strange thing though, while i was going towards my room, it hit me how much of my heart has moved home. not that hall isn't fun anymore. the image in my mind was that with every box of stuff i moved back home, a bit of my heart is moved from hall to home.

wanted to go to gethin-jones for some cheap meds but it was full house.

lunched with yehyang at hunan garden, novena square, by the tung lok group. strange cuisine for snacks but still it was pretty interesting. was nice just sipping tea having some chinese snacks for lunch and talking cock with him. before lunch, we explored the new mall connected to novena square, the mall named 'velocity'. was suppose to be a fitness mall and there was nothing there so we just went through it rather fast.

vivocity, velocity. i guess if you had a lousy architect you could have monstrosity. or animosity for pets?
