2008 resolutions

I usually don't make resolutions but I think it is time I do, although I consider them more as goals.

2. lose 10-15 kg (hopefully more)

4. get my driving license

fight back to school - day one

All efforts have been met with the superb taichi skills of the administration (what's new?). Live to fight another day.

Well, now that school has started and I'm back in hostel, there is a slight feeling of loneliness. Truly all the usual suspects are gone now with Alvin graduating. Can't wait to get out of here, it is just a few more months away!

For those who have asked why slowhub is smart, this is why.

Long story short, I'm using maksonline express which supposedly got an upgrade from 6Mbps to 8 Mbps. Had problems loading my usual websites (no not pr0n) so I tested the connection using slowhub's utilities located on their website. It seems I was averaging about 4Mbps, half of what I was supposedly given. A letter of query was sent and this came back:

Dear Mr ----

Thank you for using our online utilities.

The following conditions must be fulfilled for an accurate test
result:

1. Computer connected directly to cable modem (i.e. bypass the
router, if any).
2. No wireless connection.
3. Latest Java plug-in (Download the latest at
http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp)
4. Use UTP (100BaseT) whenever possible.
5. No other Internet software running

If the speed test does not meet the minimum speed despite fulfilling
the above conditions, we would appreciate it if you could provide us
with the following information so that our engineers may investigate:

as my sister and i have noticed, the avp trailer uses a linkin park song for a backing track. the phrase 'what the fuck is wrong with meeeeeeeee!' can be heard quite clearly. no word from irate parents yet.

it's been awhile since i've updated. it is the new year. i hope to actually fulfill 2008's resolution of actually trimming the inches off. less than half a year before i get out of anti-u. hurrah.

on a side note, saf now very tok kong, help people to mass book ippt before their window close. looks like i got to kick my exercise program directly into high gear. i sense incredible pain. D-day is 2nd Feb.

update: a stroke a pro-activeness led me to discover that i could amend the date of ippt. now i have more time to train. phew.
