BMI retrospect

while studying today, alvin was being his usual self. he said that if a person had both legs amputated, that would have effectively negated whatever BMI gains he had. and he would also not be able to reduce his BMI by running. the things we think of while studying. fire and brimstone...

@ your other post sometime back:

good question. i think alvin's right by reckoning that amputating both legs will offset any BMI loss obtained by amputating just one. I put forward a hypothesis thus:

H0: It is more important to work on maintaining a low BMI when you're a double-amputee, as opposed to reducing it by way of hand-treadmills or whatever.

P.S. amputating both arms, however, would lead to massive BMI reduction... seeing how one can't feed oneself.
