  2. eat more meals but smaller portions.
  3. hopefully lose weight due to 1 & 2.
  4. RMA my 7800GT extreme for the second time.
  5. settle my driving at BBDC.
  6. find some time to do some part-time work.

unexpected

it's over. i mc-ed my last paper. i couldn't take the pain anymore. doctor's words helped to calm my wild imagination. for a period i was beginning to speculate some sort of intestinal cancer or perforation or rabid colon. something.

it didn't help that the tutorials and past year papers were from a different planet. it didn't help
, ironically, that the coffee and tea helping me keep awake to study causes gastric pains. yup, something simple like gastric took me out. when the good doc told me that, i replied incredulously "you've got to be kidding me".

another thought hit me and i quizzed him, "but look at me, i am eating half the time, you sure it's gastric?" He said yeah, stress causes more gastric juices to be produced. and that was that.

overall, not particularly overjoyed. quite ambivalent about it. crappy way to end the exams. half of me feels like i should've just whacked, knowing i'll buang. the other half tells me i should fight the battle another day. besides if i mc today, i might get special consideration for my two papers yesterday. whatever.

another one down...one more to go

second paper for today was crap. from the buildup to the paper itself. came back from morning paper, had noodles (surprise...) took a short nap. woke up, had coffee, had a sharp pain in my tummy, the same one as a few weeks back, but this time in a more specific area. not sure if it was gastric. took some hot honey water, alleviated the pain slightly but still hurt like a bitch.

doing an exam with sharp tummy pain? not very fun. one last night of mugging...

damn xiong

damn xiong. cb. how can he do this to me. no, not my tutor or lecturer, this guy that sat next to me on the shuttle bus, once again not mentioning race but take a guess. luckily he dropped off at hall 4, not too far from SRC. sometimes i wonder if water is really that scarce and/or if the perfume and deodorant industries are targeting the right people.

paper was not too bad. i hope i pass. usually if i can do it, it should be quite easy, meaning low average grades for the underachievers. at shuttle bus stop heard one foreign talent commenting to another that he finished half the paper in half an hour, all the answers confirm correct. i glanced. not the same paper. phew. he also remarked that the examiner was obviously giving away marks. i bet some people at the bus stop felt dumb.

more unlucky things

cooking my noodles, ran out of gas. it was the last canister. thank God for hotplates. but still, it's no joke trying to cook noodles on a cold day. the water takes forever to boil and due to dynamic changes in temperature, the water evaporates and i am left with the lower half of the noodle cake saturated with water and the top half is still mamee. mmm. the pot has burnt noodles stuck to it.

sunday morning...

3 more papers to go, noisy fan, not enough sleep, someone blasting bass in 37. oh won't the fan just drop and decapitate me(yea no more exams!). i still hear it thumping. i hope the rain god makes a personal visit to your room. with all your appliances still switched on. if someone blogs about a rotting seabass(it's a fish, for ignoramus-es)in their room, be sure that i found the culprit.

"fee fii foh fum...i hear the bass of nincompoop"

peektures

yay...network back up

yep. socket plugging, port blocking, firewall installing, internet taking away-ing people in the evil computer mainframe have restored the connection. i'm sure they do this once in awhile, especially during important periods, to show how reliant and weak we are. bastards. they do it to feel important so people will call and complain, acknowledging their existence.
meanwhile weird entries between timeframes from my logs:

school computer network sucks

need i say more? as of early this morning i was not able to log on to msn and some websites. google and blogger had problems loading. my tech forum and, according to alvin, wikipedia was doing fine. CNA seemed to be alright too, but loading times were unmentionable.

at 9.43am this post was created ON my computer and posted by using my k800i as a modem, my msn is connected through my phone too. i feel geek. signing off for now coz data charges can be quite frightening.

BMI retrospect

while studying today, alvin was being his usual self. he said that if a person had both legs amputated, that would have effectively negated whatever BMI gains he had. and he would also not be able to reduce his BMI by running. the things we think of while studying. fire and brimstone...

dreams...

it is annoying to dream about lines of assembly language coding. as if i don't see enough of it. if i could only dream about the exam questions...

shrimp wonton? yes please!

one word. shiok.

brrr...cold

rainy season is officially in play. should the world keep up its use of CFCs and aerosols, i'm pretty sure one day it will snow in singapore. in fact, recently i've been spending most of the time in my room with both my fans off and with a shirt on. which makes me wonder, if i can feel cold, do polar bears feel cold? just a few days more to liberation, before i can eat my white pepper butter crabs and then try to lose weight, preferably through natural means that don't involve liposuction or amputation. i think i can lose 20kg cutting off one leg.
at the risk of a little insensitivity, do amputees calculate their BMI differently? strange thoughts during exam.

yay...i are geek

i have never tested out the 'bluetooth remote control' function on my phone. till today. i now can control my windows media player and desktop using my handphone. i am happy.
on the downside, i have an uncontrollable twitch on my lower right eyelid. not related to my newfound bluetooth happiness, but still a downside.

engineering...

"my father was an engineer. so were my brothers. guess what i became?" Remember that ad? that guy was smart. he became a pianist or conductor or something. anything but an engineer. he had a stupid father who produced stupid brothers. engineer? what's that? can eat or not?
grr...back to @#$!ing microprocessors.

my privacy is more flexible again!

remember the time when storage was expensive?

home neighbours

as i type this post, sitting at my dining table in the dining room, the air is filled with the jibber jabber of an old lady. it comes from beyond the wall and seems to be bahasa indonesia/melayu. i understand from my parents that i have an odd old lady with an equally odd grown up adult son as neighbours.

the old lady is wheelchair bound. i'm wondering how long before the maid decides enough is enough and decides to see whether wheelchairs have air bags. the son likes to tape record our dinner conversations. he thinks we can't see his hand arched over the wall. holding a tape recorder. ISA spy material he is not.

oh. i realised that i generated a lot of traffic on my own blog, by trying to edit stuff and reloading the pages. hur. i are cleber.

a series of unfortunate events

2 papers in one day, one afternoon one evening. first paper, needed to draw econs graphs. dubious feeling. found out i forgot my eraser. had to rely on the measly one at the end of my pencil. came back to have a light tea of honey water and some hello pandas.

went for evening session. halfway through stomach growled. paper also dubious. after paper went to buy mac's for dinner. queue wasn't long. but i had to wait for my fries for quite awhile. coz the stupid farking bitch (race unmentioned but try your luck) can take the order of the guy after me and decides he should get his fries first. not only me but the rest of the other people in other queues

i can understand if there is a current shortage of fries. i don't mind waiting abit. what i mind is how every other mofo is getting their fries except me. even the guys who ordered later than me and in other queues. i mind that when there's a supply of fries you find that it's harder to serve up 2 large and 1 medium fries who have the supposed priority of being ordered earlier compared to the other million and one large fries flying off the fucking shelf. i mind that when there's a supply of fries, you fucking disappear behind, not serving my supposed prioritised earlier order, allowing the fries to disappear and my misery to continue.

wait for a bus. waited till the fries turned slightly soggy. i could not feel the heat of them on my wrist. wait fucking long. 179 came, as usual hordes went for it. i decided to let them at it. i hate carrying food on a crowded bus. 2 more came behind. true to 179 tradition, when they don't come they don't come. when they do they shove your face full of it.

i get on the 2nd bus. it is the last to leave the bus stop. i've just waited for ages holding 3 mac's meals. what could be worse? i've the answer to that. the following could have and did happen. before the buses came, one drink bag was already leaking. got on the bus. the stop before hall bus stop, some guy decides to sit next to me. the very next moment i'm juggling food while pressing the bus bell. the bus driver needed a braking lesson. i fell backwards on the steps, and one drink threatened to spill. the plastic cap already crumpled.

in summary, 2 sucky papers, hungry, stupid mac's bitch, crowded bus, cold fries, leaking drink, fell on bus' stairs.

Life's beautiful~

fucking hell...

note: thanks mojo for the tasty doughnut balls, 'twas very sweet and neighbourly of you.

the power of one

one person. that's all it takes to stink up the bloody reading room. i won't go so far as to say it's a foreigner or what. one week before it's smelling fresh. a week later, there is a dank smell hanging in the air. have showers gone out of style?

today's experience was amazing. considering that it had no smell at first. but after some influx of bodies, the smell started to emanate from an unknown body.

the good, cheap, fast triangle

everyone knows this triangle. cheap and fast means not good. good and cheap means not fast. fast and good means not cheap. the liquid paper correction pen i bought defies it all. it's cheap but it's not good coz it dries too fast.
ironic how something made to cover up and make things neater is making a nice white blobby mess on my notes. bloody white piece of shit!

zzz...

i'm so sleepy. the weather is excellent. my books have magical sleep inducing spores. i feel sticky, i have no mood to study. i take a shower, i'm too comfortable and i wanna sleep.

i have just seperated my laundry into berms/shorts, coloured cottons and neutral/white cottons. i am strangely delighted. i hope setting the machine to 'wool' will reduce the chances of my fave tees contracting the disease of 'nua collar'.

here are some random pigs, i mean pics.

"hi! i'm ashley! would you like some furry bacon?"

"hi there, sexy. you look great in blue. do you mind me on top?"

beautiful rainy day...but still, shit happens

the lazy rainy season has finally started. sleep is getting more shiok nowadays. started my day as usual, woke up, hit the books, they hit me back. studied till afternoon. temperatures started rising, decided to go into the reading room to study.

first choice of study position had a pair of guys discussing stuff, interrupted the alignment of my chakras. moved all the way to the other side, where this couple of foreigners (as in 1 male foreigner+1 female foreigner, if not i would've used 'these'), were making out. not that i minded or delibrately took notice. i was just focussing on my material when i noticed that there were tapping sounds. at first i thought the guy was tapping a pen. need chakra realignment. after awhile, i realised that he was tapping on a laptop. and somehow knowing that it was a laptop helped me tolerate it. the tapping sounds soon become one with me...

then, the tapping stopped. my chakras got upset. i turned to see what made him stop tapping. and there it was, the foreplay. well, i made full use of the silence to really concentrate while i could. and from then on it was intermittent tapping followed by periods of silence. if i didn't have to study i'd cheer them on to 3rd and 4th base.

went back to room, found out that my keys had been locked in coz i usually don't lock my door. went to draw spare key to open my door only to find out i had been fined for leaving lights and fan on AND this abomination.
