Event update

it has been awhile since i updated. decided that blogging is quite tiring, heh just like exercise, fun for awhile. well, taking a break for the night, from studying...yes, you saw that right. i do study, well, sometimes. ok, brief overview of events passed, in chronological order:

forbidden city

watched. pretty good, impressed by the set and costumes, for a supposedly local production. kit chan didn't matter, although it probably suckered a few more people to watch it. agree with jared though, kit has a nice voice but sometimes seem like she's just shouting. my babe and i should know. we were second row from the stage. we could hear their wonderful projections, of both voice and saliva. any closer i'd demand for raincoats.

got told off DURING INTERMISSION (read: it's a break, no one on the stage) that no photograpy is allowed. isn't it strange? it's my face and i can't be narcisstic in a theater when nothing is happening? how absurd is that? i think they should be warning the lady in front of us to not take off her slippers and place her bare feet on the front rest. it is disturbing and even i don't do that in a movie. or lecture.

bumped into a few hall seven people. received a very thoughtful sms from yehyang, it went "don't buy the cd, i bought already". he's such a nice chap isn't he?

dad's and jie's birthday

celebrated with the usual buffet dinner at grand plaza parkroyal. it's the hotel next to the usual BF hangout, the guys should know where, roughly. usual happy birthday, blah, see the relatives you don't see often and all the fluff that comes with it. food was not bad. ambience not too bad too. live music from the lounge overflows into the makan area so there's entertainment sorta. realised that alot of old men over 50 go to that lounge and dance with strange ladies. oh well, guess even old guys and gals like to have fun once in awhile. pity i don't have a picture of the old men with young ladies. the caption would've been "fracture waiting to happen" or "you see? milk does prevent osteoporosis"

ok, since i've no funny pictures, i'll just post some random pics.

this is shane, my cousin who turned a year older a week after my dad and sis. shane obviously had fun with the chocolate fondue fountain. the flash was a little bright, k800i sadly has no flash suppressor. cute little imp, ain't he.

this, my friends, shows that chocolate indeed has the sticky properties to help mend broken hearts and emotional cracks. it is the aftermath of chocolate fondue rampage. using only a stick, a marshmallow and some(ok, a fair bit) chocolate, you can lift an entire bowl off the table surface!
