new keyboard! yay!

i bought a new keyboard to replace my cheapo logitech one. i have learnt that not everything that bears a branded name is a good product, even for something as simple as a keyboard. the problem with the cheap logitech one was that the keys were quite stiff overall, causing a little tenderness even to my fantastic flying fingers of fanatic fury. the colour code is silver and black compared to black.

it comes with a few shortcut keys to access programs like my web and mail browser and most importantly, volume control. i don't mind clicking for some things but volume control is a bitch coz it's a drag and drop function and the volume bar is too short, requires too much concentration. also, the ever handy mute button in case of sudden incoming phonecalls. then again, aren't all phonecalls sudden in nature?

the top left side of the keyboard has inputs for headphones and a microphone(teamspeak anyone?). a pair of headphones with an attached mic was supplied together with the keyboard. after all, this keyboard is heralded the X-Slim Headset keyboard, by A4tech.

the top right side has a USB 2.0 port! how handy! no need to bend down to plug external devices anymore! hurray for lazy people!

true to it's name, the keyboard is indeed very slim. look at its profile compared to my mouse. the only gripe though, is that they don't have elevation clips to slant the keyboard abit more. the keys are however, much softer than el cheapo logitech. my fingers are now free from tragedy.
